What first steps should I take to explore Silver Is Gold talent?
Completing a registration would be your first step. If you have not already registered, then on the home page, click “Employers,” choose “Employer Registration” and complete the required fields. Posting an opportunity is also recommended, especially if there’s an open position you’re looking to fill.
Are you a staffing agency?
No – Silver Is Gold is not a staffing agency. We’re a digital marketplace that facilitates talent connections between employers with immediate needs and actively engaged retired professionals with the experience and expertise to address their needs. Exchanges between talent and employers happen directly, though the Silver Is Gold team might be engaged in an advising capacity at various points along the way.
Is there a fee for your service?
Not at this time, though at some point in the future, a modest annual registration fee may be introduced for employers. Until then, employers can explore and engage this tool with no obligation.
What types of assignments are a best fit for this talent pool?
Most in the Silver Is Gold talent pool are open to ongoing assignments or project-based work. Most prefer commitments of 6-20 hours per week, which might happen in the office, remotely or a mix of both.
As for assignments, best matches tend to happen around coaching, mentoring and projects aligned with past industry experience. Leading strategy discussions or customer advisory board meetings is another role that talent candidates with leadership experience find especially appealing.
If a successful match happens, would this person be considered an employee or a contractor?
That’s entirely up to you and the talent candidate. Silver Is Gold is focused on facilitating matches and prompting early exchanges to determine fit. Activation details are determined by the organization and the talent candidate.
